My GU87 needs to be unlocked

Hi folks! I'm new to the forum, and I've been looking ALL OVER the web for someone to help me unlock my GU87. It appears that I've finally found the right place! jnnfr894, could you please help me? I have aquired the flash/unlock cable, and all the software that you listed in your 'tutorial'.. I just don't want to have to try it without someone "supervising" me.. I REALLY don't want to screw it up..

Thanks for excellent info, I just unlocked my ATT GU87 last night and tested with T-mobile sim card. Looks like it works.Let me know if you stuck on the way, I will try to help

Can someone help me?
I tried the steps as stated in the thread by my phone display only comes up with the following message on the sub LCD when using WinModo 3.3

FLASH LOADER
GD87 Version 1.4
Parameter

And nothing happens for the next 20 minutes or so.

Now I can't even get out of the FLASH LOADER mode

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe this will help...

If you just remove the battery from the phone count to 10 or so then you should be ready to try again after putting the battery back in place (Be sure to fully charge the battery before flashing the bios)

I flashed my GU87's theme several times since I first unlocked it... and I had a similar response from the phone while using WinMoDo Plus v3.3 then I remembered to change the Baud Rate to 115200. Double check your Port settings should be set to COM1 in the device manager and WinMoDo. Also be sure you clicked on all three options language, main, & boot when selecting the file to use, click browse and navigate to the folder you saved the .rel e.g. GU87 Flashing & Unlocking\Bios Firmware\A55-Red2-D_E_E_P\3-Red2 A55\G7D87L61.rel
G7D87L61.rel = language file will always be in this format
the main file usually will be more specific e.g. GU87 Flashing & Unlocking\Bios Firmware\A55-Red2-D_E_E_P\3-Red2 A55\Red2-A55.rel
Red2-A55.rel = main file formats will vary

It was the baud rate that got me there
The hardware on my MAT - USB was set at 9600 and winmodo was at 812500. It didn't work till both matched 115200.

I've also unlocked and loaded the A58 firmware.
Can't wait to find out how to use BIOSExplorer to load themes

I am trying to unlock a GU87 but I don't have the SIM card of the actual blocked phone so I can't see what my bios is, because never appears "Searching network" or something like that.


Is there any way to see that bios???
