Unlocking Question

alright i dont know how unlocking works, but this is what i currently have. I have unlocking sotware that i downloaded from...... and i have a data cable for the phone, is there any other stuff i need?, when i open the unlocker software, it has the button unlock on it, and i dont know what else that i need for unlocking, is this setup enough??, or do i need other stuff?, what are the contacts of an unlocking box?, is it just of software and bunch of cables???

What is the software called? Which phones is it used for?

This is concerning a cellphone that I purchased through Nextel. It is a Motorola i265 and I haven't been able to pay the bill lately and I am thinking my best option for the moment is to unlock it for use with BoostMobile prepaid.

Please know I am not looking for any sympathy but I have cancer and am not really sure how much longer I have. I really need help because I just don't have that many hours in a week that I feel good enough to pursue answers to problems I need solved to just make my life livable with whatever time I have left.

I Have a BoostMobile i415 already but I need a second phone (hopefully the i265) to use with Boost so I can give it to different people to communicate with them. The walkie talkie/push2talk/2way radio whatever u want 2 call it feature is really important for me right now. I am an American that has moved across the border from San Diego to live in Tijuana, Mexico because it is the only thing I can afford right now. There were a couple of companies, namely Cingular and Verizon that had "north american plans" that let U use the phone easily in Canada, the U.S. or Mexico for one reasonable price but because of corruption supposedly, they have dropped those plans. So it seems you have to have two cells, one for use to call in Mexico and one to use across the border in the U.S. With the exception of being able to use the walkie talkie pretty well on both sides. However you can only call nextel/boost people which isn't what I really want but I can at least get by with it.

I was going to buy another Boost i415 at walmart but they weren't selling them anymore and then it hit me that for the time being since Boost uses the Nextel network maybe I could unlock my Sprint/Nextel motorola i265 and use it as a prepaid Boost phone. I just don't have a lot time and energy to solve this problem and find out if this will work tho.... so if someone could tell me if this is doable it would be greatly appreciated. I went looking on Craigslist and there were some ads for guys that do unlocking but one stated clearly upfront that he doesn't do sprint/nextel because "it can't be unlocked, no way,no how." But then I did a google search and it seemed that there are people that could do it so I am getting conflicting info

you are filipino! you should know that unlocking thing! we been unlocking cellphone since unlocking on europe and u.s is not popular yet. we been doing this for more than a decade. i know your from southern part of philippines but once you come accross to SM cagayan, there's alot of unlockers in that mall and try to get some answer to them.
