What is MPT please. I am trying to figure out how to put ringtones on my V3c...thanks.

MPT may not help you. If you have a V3c from Verizon, and your firmware version is .03 or .04, your best bet is to send them to your phone via pix messages. This is not your only recourse, but it is the safest. You could also edit a seem or reflash your phone to firmware version .02, but those methods are riskier.

If your service provider is not Verizon, then you may be able to use MPT, but I can not guarantee that.

Thanks for the reply Paul. My V3c is from Alltel so the MPT I had for my old V551 worked just fine (I think it updated itself). I had a cd with a bunch of ringtones and they loaded with no trouble. I am still having trouble finding just plain "sound" files.....almost everything I find is music..I have enough of that, I just want some plain sounds...rings, etc.

Google can be your best friend when searching for things like that.
