phones for moto phone tools ?

hey i`m pretty new on here & i was wondering if anybody knew what all motorola phones are compatible with the motorola phone tools ? it came with my V3 RAZR off of eBay but are there any other phones i can use with this ? thank you

yes most newer Motorola models will work, when you installed MPT it asks what phone model you want to use it with.

To add I've heard discoraging news that the verizion moto's will not work with mpt something to do with it being disabled, Tony are you aware of any truth to this?

Griff, you are absolutely correct. Verizon disable the OBEX transfer protocol on all of their phones. You can not use MPT with them. The only exception that I know of is the RAZR V3c running firmware version .02 (other than those Moto's that still run the original Motorola UI instead of Verizon's).

I actually knew that, but it seems that so many new members have no idea about this and then we get 1,000 threads about "Why won't mpt detect my phone?" And I figured I'd let someone besides me be the barer (sp) of bad news.
