lg vx8600 mp3 to ringtones?

i have a lgvx8600 and is there anyway to get around turning my mp3s into ringtones? i read the one on how you can do it on the chocolate. would that way work for this model?

also...
any way i can transfer videos and pictures too through the usb cable?

and lastly..
everytime i try to download a ring tone from a website through wap
i get this error "http error: 406 not acceptable"

Hi Joy I am interested in this to. I transfer songs from my computer to memory card through my computers card reader. I am so amazed how easy it is. I would love to use these for ring tones myself. Also I would love to figuire out how to transfer my movies. Any idea?

Hey joylee, I just got the 8600 myself yesterday and have done all of this. If you have the usb cbale...which means you bought the music essentials kit download bitpim. Its a program that recognizes your phone and lets yu do phonebook, ringtones, pictures, videos...I mean everything your phone can do on the computer. As far as making ringtones its as easy as taking an MP3 song, cutting it down with a program like audacity and putting it on yur phone. Bitpim actually has a plce for ringtones which is different tan just songs. I have a friend who tried to use just the card reader and they won't go to ringtones. Best thing to do is get the essential kit...a) for the computer drivers and b) for the cable and use bitpim. Its an amazing program!

can you connect to bitpim through bluetooth?

Only if you have BT on your PC or Laptop.

its alot faster than cable and bitpim
but i use bitpim to transfer ringtones

so bitpim works fine with the 8600 for ringtones??
