Problem with MPT

I got MPT installed just fine. I ran into a problem however...in the "Melodies" portion of the program, I search my computer for songs. I can see the artists/ then albums/ but there are no songs featured! Just blank space! What is this? and my MP3s are saved as AAC files...don't know if that's what's wrong. I use itunes as well...

But then I ran into another problem. I tried sending a picture to my phone and an error message appeared "Cannot Communicate with Mobile Phone" What now?

Oh, and my phone is connected. the computer read it as a Moto Krzr K1, so I know it's connected. MPT just can't connect with it
