w580i questions

okay i was going to buy the sony w580i slider but i have been looking it up on the interent and i have come across alot of websites saying that the number keys crack/break within a few weeks....does anybody on this website own the w580i and if so do you hvae any problems with it because i'm not about to spend 130 dollars on a phone that doesn't last!! please reply!! Thanks

Even though the cracked keypad was addressed, and was supposedly fixed with later manufactured weeks, I'm still not too optimistic about it. You can buy it if you want to. Just know that you will have the service provider's warranty if you bought it from there, and the 1-yr manufacturer's warranty through Sony Ericsson if ever you have the keypad issue.

Bought W580i white just 10 days ago and it has started losing its silver color on the 4 way navigation key.The phone is looking old because of this reason.
Dont know if all 580i's have this same problem....and i dont know,if i will get it replace under the warranty.

I got W580i grey color its good.but if you want best camera then dont go for this.camera is the great disadvantage of this phone

i thin the phone ios fine, considering how nice it looks, if you really like it, get it

I have had the phone for over a month in black. Love it. Fun phone, takes much better photos than my own razr, it has the cool factor. BTW, on ebay, they sell plastic cases that protect the phone (mine is black) cheap that snap on to the body of the phone. May be a good investment. Also, you can download their uploading software for free. BTW, if you use the headphone connector in your car with their adapter and you are using it in the car to listen to music, if you receive a call, you can hear it through the car speakers and the headphone adapter has the microphone built right in. Instant speaker phone. Right on sony. Great phone

3.Freezes
4.color on naigation wheel rubbing off
5.battery drains fast even at 50% brightness!
6. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE
7.camera pixels are HORRIBLE!

HI thanls for replying everyone but i didnt buy this phone because it is a piece of crap!! I bought the LG shine and i love it...i have no problems with it at all! So yea I recommend the LG shine!!!
