#1 | | Newbie | Guys have a weird problem I know someone here can help. The inside LCD does not show anything, well its there but just not visible, even if I close and open the flip the LCD does not get lit. BUT if I power on the phone with charger connected the LCD is on and remains ON even when I removed the charger and does not go into screen saver mode.
Any idea what might be going on with my phone...?

Motorola iDEN support.
The following is from the i880 users guide. The Advanced menu contains advanced Settings features... • Reset Defaults — Reset Settings returns all settings to their original defaults; Reset All returns all settings to their original defaults and erases all stored lists. Use only under the direction of Nextel Customer Service.

#5 | | Newbie | tried resetting, nothing change, as-is.... I am out of warranty, though i talked to the tech he says may be something to do with hardware and advised me to send it to moto directly. costs me $$ even if they don't fix it? weird. Anyway I will wait for some hardware guy to pass by my post, have until next weekend for me to start on it myself, am back to my old loved i830.

#6 | | Newbie | I have an I885 with the same problem except the main screen does nothing at all with or without charger hooked up also outside LCD has no backlight,i'm just trying to get a flip to fix the whole problem anybody here have any ideas where I can get a flip from tried Ebay all they have is the main LCD,If I knew how to get inside the flip to fix maybe I would,HELP!!!! #12 | | Newbie | Just get the insurance and wait til the next month and cancel it if you don't think it's worth having but 5bucks just incase is good enough for me. I got to know the girls and guys at my nearest repair center so incase I ever have any questions I call. they give me a time I show up and less than 15mins. I'm good to go! | | |

#13 | | | Even though this thread is from last year, some of you may still be having issues with the flip on your i880:
If your i880 is still under warranty, simply take it to your nearest repair center, the flip issue is a common problem with this phone model and Sprint/Nextel is aware of it, i've had mine replaced twice under warranty.
