This is killing me...  I just got an Alltel 6800 and like it a lot. I still have a Treo 700p, and it picks up EVDO without a problem. The 6800 hundred is still on 1X in the same area. I am roaming outside of my base service area in Montgomery, AL, but I know I am using Sprint's towers in Birmingham, AL. I have soft reset, hard reset, looked for settings and whined a lot to myself, but I can't figure it out. I am going to update my PRL this evening when I go to Montgomery -- hopefully that will work. I just got the phone Sunday and the guy obviously updated it for the first time at the store. Any ideas besides trying PRL update again? | ||||||

Lovely...I got in touch with Alltel tech support and was walked through reprogramming and it STILL doesn't detect EVDO. Any HTC or Alltel folks here that can help? | |||||
