#49 | | Newbie | I'll try asking this again. I want to put an MP3 ringtone on a T619. We don't use email on the phone and won't ever use it. I used to use Bitpim and a cable for my LG 6200 when I was with verizon, but for midis. I can't seem to find a straight answer about what file format these mp3's are supposed to be saved in. Some say AAC, others 3GP which is VIDEO. I have software to edit the mp3, so I can use the bitrate, file size, and file format. Does someone have the info?
Thanks,

#52 | | Junior Member | Well over here in canada on CMDA(sp?)
All i had to do was go into my music folder on my phones memory, and click on the song, click options, click set as.
I don't think it works going into your ringer settings then trying to manually find it.. just go to the mp3 file on your phone (if its on micro sd card it will ask to copy to phone) And click options, then set as. Easy easy..
unless this is just cause of my network over hee, but i bought my phone from hong kong i think so im not sure that matters..
hope this helps a few people! | | |

#56 | | Newbie | OK, A genius I am not but here is what I did:
I searched for a converter and found this one
It is called Smart Audio Converter. I tried posting the Url but being a newbie it wouldn't let me
It is the simplest and fastest one i have found. There is another one out that will convert copyright some files but it was not dependable but the best way I know how to avoid that is to burn a cd. I did copy them from one pc and then downloaded them to another pc but when I burned the cd it labeled the tracks as numbered tracks ( like "track 1, track 2" ) etc, and Windows Media didnt know the difference I guess, but that was the only way I could get them to convert. Then I copied them to my micro card for my M510.
I dont have a data cable for that phone (M510) and I do have a SPHa900 ( both Sprint) and it does have a mass storage but no card so I have never put any files on it, but the M510 works relly good.
Just thought I would at least try and help.

#57 | | Newbie | Here's my problem, my phone dosen't accept text messages. so what I'm wondering is if you know of any programs that will allow me to acess the files on my phone, or in other words crack it open like an external hard drive through My Computer on Windows XP, or could you point me in the direction of some one who can tell me how. Any info would be greatly appreciated. O Ya my phone is a Samsung U340 if that helps.
