This was gotten off the web elsewhere and it perm.unlocked my AT&T A117.
TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Also,in my experience,it reset the phone as well.So save off the contacts to reg.
SIM 1st.
If there is a way not have Reset happen,maybe Robb knows and can reply.
To unlock a Samsung SGH-a117 Cell Phone from AT&T,folllow these directions(to the letter).....
First with different carrier
SIM in phone at WRONG CARD screen ENTER on the keypad
1.--> *2767*3855# (wait 10-15 seconds) phone will reboot(restart)
2.-->When phone completes reboot ENTER
*7465625*638*00000000*00000000# (8 zeros each)
3.-->NEXT ENTER
#7465625*638*00000000# (8 zeros)
4.-->THEN *#7465625# to check the locks....all locks are inactive...these are all the locks...
All Locks are deactivated,and if I power down the phone and put other
SIM in it states on welcome screen "Welcome to Cincinnati Bell" rather than AT&T. Be well! :-)
