Samsung-a737 Bluetooth mp3 to ringtone

I just bought this Samsung a737 phone, and i cant exactly get my songs turned into ringtones. I downloaded the PC studio application from the Samsung website, but when i transfer songs to my phone via bluetooth, it only lets me play them in the media player. I want to be able to make these songs into my ringtone. I cant connect to the internet so sending ringtones using text messaging is not an option. Help?

I know you must be frustrated with this because I was.. I don't like it when cellphone manufacturers set limitations on what us consumers like to do. However, they do it so you can spend more money.. Anyways, through trial and error on my part plus loss of time I manage to came up with a conclusion on our situation. Your MP3 ringtone files cannot be anymore than 300kb in order to be used freely as a ringtone on your NEWLY bought phone. The same situation goes for ringtones for incoming messages also. So, I resolve this issue by taking the orginal mp3 song and making it into 20-25 secs ringtones. Later, I made sure to save the file to no more than 300kb so that it can be used as a ringtone and than transferred it through bluetooth. Moreover, if you have a program that would allow you to edit your mp3's on your pc than that's what you need. If you think this is bad than try getting the free games into your phone.. Not much fun at all.. I hope this helps you a little..

You could also put the songs on the memory card and transfer them that way.
make sure they are in the correct folder.

i put them on my memory card thinking that it would be fine there. nope. still wont let me use them as ringtones. but i dont really want to change the file size of the mp3 bc then the sound quality will go to hell.

Here is a site with a few games. Some are cheap-o games but nonetheless games.
