It only says that they're considering spinning it off, and really they
should, just like they did semiconductors. With how much other crap
Motorola still sells, trying to be as nimble as you need to be for the
mobile market with the rest of the stodgy patriarchal leadership
environment the place has is like trying to dance with an elephant on
your back.

Wonder if the market cares or will shrug too-little-too-late?

That said, I dig my Krazr as well. Great RF, pokey software as
another person said. They do have sharp RF mofo's up in Mobile
Devices that's for sure.

Only time will tell. I personally think Motorola would do better to
make a strategic alliance with a strong Asian partner, as Ericsson did
with Sony.

My V3xx also has great RF, and software I'd call decent, except for
crashing too often. That has as much to do with AT&T than with
Motorola, since AT&T won't let Motorola update firmware in AT&T/Cingular
branded handsets.
