Hi all,
My wife and I both have KRZR K1's through ATT. We've had the phones since last summer and have been having some issues off and on that we haven't been able to resolve.
1) The phones seem to half-freeze somewhat frequently. What I mean by that is, incoming calls don't ring or show on the screen but after the person hangs up or leaves a voice mail, it will show up as a missed call. Also, any attempt to dial out will either fail or just sit at the "dialing" screen indefinitely even if you have full signal. You can still go through the menus, etc. but you can't send or receive calls. A reboot usually fixes the issues, but it's very annoying to look at your phone at the end of the day or after a long car ride and see that you've missed lots of calls even though you had the phone on you and turned up the whole time.
This issue doesn't happen to me very often but does happen to my wife fairly often. The only difference I can think of is that I don't get signal at work so I turn my phone off during the day every day. Perhaps this is an issue where the phone needs a reboot every so often to keep it running well?
2) We both have H500 BT headsets and sometimes they seem to lose their connection to the phone even though they still show as connected. When this happens, I'll hit the button on the headset and it will beep once, but the voice commands program won't start and ask me to say a command, in fact, there is no response from the phone at all. As I said it still shows as connected and if I keep tapping the button sometimes it will eventually go through but I usually just reboot the headset as that is faster. This isn't a huge deal, but it is fairly annoying.
I've googled and searched these forums and haven't found much info about these problems. I went to Motorola's support page to see if their was a software update, but they don't even have ATT or Cingular listed in the carrier drop-down box. I lied and told them I had T-Mobile just so I could install the update program, but when I plug my phone in it says there is no new software for it.
Since both of our phones have these issues it doesn't seem likely to me that a replacement would help. Is there anything else we can do to try and fix this stuff?
Thanks.
