I think the lines are graying here. I have a Samsung SCH-u540 with Verizon Wireless. I downloaded an email application called RemoMail--$2 per month. Remoba provides applications to collect my contacts and calendar information from Outlook and send them to my phone wirelessly. Pretty neat for "dumb" phone.

Also, while I'm in a call I can put the speakerphone on. Then I can takes notes, look up contact and run other applications on my phone. I really don't need a WinMo or BB device any more.
