Upgrading phones/costs/stupid newb ??'s

Sorry for the dumb questions but I have to get some info...

Dec 2006, started a 2 new every 2 year family share plan for wife and I. I would like to upgrade phones soon and maybe get the LG enV's. Verizon said that in June this year the primary line (hers) is eligible for $100 discount but the other will have to pay retail for the new phone.$329.9!!!

What to do? Will waiting for Dec 2008 be any better discount?

I have seen "verizon" phones on ebay for years but was wary about even thinking of purchasing one and getting screwed. The LG enV's are for sale now obviously there at the moment. If I walked into the local Verizon outlet and asked them to shut off our Razr's and turn on 2 online purchased enV's...would they do it?

Thanks

well...received a call back and they are allowing both phones to be upgraded early by starting a new 2 year contract. One LG enV will be $29.99 after $50 discount.The other $79.99.

The frustrating thing is that I would like the Vcast pack for email on both phones but I have to add that monthly price onto BOTH phones. I thought it would be a family share thing....

1400 shared minutes = $80
second line=$10
third line( for mother in law)=$10
unlimited text +500 bonus=$20 (2 lines)
Vcastpack=$30 (2 lines)

Total $150 a month---uuuuugh

Just so you know, Verizon will let you activate any Verizon phone (provided it's E911 capable, which the EnVs are). Now, some store reps are going to want their commissions so badly that they'll tell you it can't be done. Just call customer service; it can be done and is done all the time.

You can even do the switch online through My Account.

I actually transferred my newest phone (voayger) from a u740 using My Account. Much easier than calling or going into a store like you used to have to do.
