whats the best verizon phone

I need to upgrade soon and whats a better brand and total phone.. any thoughts?

Ive just gotten the Samsung a930 and love it! Several of my friends have this phone also and have no complaints either. You are in the right place to find out what you need to about what phones are good. Just go into the different phone manufacturers forums and look up the phone that appeals to you. Thats what I did and finally decided on the one Ive got.

I would check out the Moto KRZR and the LG 8300. I personally use the Samsung a870 and like it alot. It's a mid level phone and can't hardly beat it for voice quality.

The LG VX8600 is out as well, and getting good initial reviews....my wife wants a RAZR, and I think I will steer her this way instead of the Moto junk....

On the verizon website, the 8300 can't be used as an mp3 player. Is there any way ot play mp3s on it?

I've had my Krzr a month and it just crapped out on me. I had to SCREAM at the VZW operator to get a new phone rather than a "refurbished" one! ITS STILL UNDER WARRANTY!!! WTF!!?? Verizon is the KING of the nickel an dimers!

ive had the 8600 for about a month now and i love it

ive just wanted the absolute best phone available and after this came out i knew this was the one... another good one is the samsung a990 but damn is it expensive for a thicker phone with worse mp3 capability, older flash, but a nicer camera and screen

I'm about to renew and get new phones. I've chosen bad phones for a while, and had hoped to learn as muchas I could before chosing again. Verizon phones are notorious for being locked down. I want a phone I can use all the features it was made with. My last Samsung was really stripped down by Verizon. I don't want to have to hack a phone to upload/download the pics from the camera. I've heard enough badthings about Motorola, and seen enough friends have problems with them, that they are immediately off my list. I've bought phones in the past that had poor afermarket support, and was unable to find faceplates, and other accesories. I don't want that to happen again.

Did you ever get it replaced?

I would say that the LG VX5200 is the best phone, IMO. I have been able to do some pretty cool things with ringtones and it's not a locked phone so I can easily use a data cord and bitpim with it.

The features you are referring to are also available on newer LG phones like the 8300.

That's cool I might have to upgrade then. It's just been such a sturdy phone. My brother has the VX5300 but I can't do anything with his phone because it's locked, so I was afraid to upgrade mine.

I quite like the VX5300.
