this only work for the 8000 series lg's?? i have the lg 800 model... that make a difference??

you can either try to download a newer version of bitpim and see if your phone is on that list, or manually change the settings to the VX8550 (verizon's chocolate). Then go to view> view filesystem. when a orange filesystem icon appears in the icon tree to the left, click on it to bring up the filesystem pane. Click on the blue folder and wait till the filesystem tree drops down. If you can get that far, then you are in luck, if not then you'll have to think of a different way to add ringtones. good luck

Mine won't work from that. It doesn't have the 16452 folder. Maybe it's because i'm on a VX8550 not 8500.

All you have to do is connect your phone to your computer via usb then go thru my computer and open the folder that contains your phones files there should be like around 4. I tried doing this but no "Ringtone" folder appears after I change the folder option to show hidden files.

ugh..I'm seeing results for the 8500 Chocolate.

I'm thinking of buying the LG Chocolate flip phone 8600. has anyone had results with that phone. SHould I buy it and try to find a way to hack the phone. Or should I just go for another one.

The last thing I want is to buy this phone and then not being able to figure out the ringtone thing.
