We're on two perpendicular planes?

I'm not asking for advice on what contract is best for me, I am just in disagreement with their plan for everybody as if we all have the same budget. Prepaid sounds good, but the better deals r for contracts. I had a girlfriend screw my credit with every phone, but verizon. That was my first prepaid, but they would not allow me to see the roaming coverage for my calls, not their calls. So, u see it is their contract with my credit at stake.
Verizon is a good plan, but I just disagree with minutes I lose, and extra minutes they charge. I mean, I paid for those minutes, I think they should not be held "hostage" for any length of time.

With the Forced Update; is it *228, dial, then press 80? I tried it both ways and I still can't download a new PRL list. I just keep getting the same-old message that my phone couldn't be updated at this time.

#BAL (225) - check current balance and last payment
#MIN (646) - check minute usage
