Voyager, can it replace my Treo?

I am currently using the Treo 700P, and Verizon is my only option for cellular service.

Things I need in a phone listed in order.

Clear Phone sound
Speaker phone
Detailed Contacts
Large Screen
Email
Portability
Calendar

I have the razor v9 too, but its poor battary and smaller screen made me go back to my Treo 700P

Can this Voyager finally let me retire the palm treo?

Can I get my pop3 email with this phone?

Can I sync with my computer?

You can get pop3 email with the phone....by buying the appropriate package of course.

You can sync the phone to your email contacts, etc. on your computer with the phone.

There is a pretty good detail available for contacts. It has:

Name
Mobile 1 phone number
Home phone number
Work phone number
Email 1
Group (you can assign each contact to groups that either are on the phone or you create)
Picture
Ringtone
Mobile 2 phone number
Fax Number
Email 2

The sounds very good on this phone.

Speaker phone rocks...just flip it open, and lay it down....and your good to go. Heck, I even walk around my office using the speaker phone and have no problems hearing it, nor do the people on the other end have any problems hearing me.

Both inside and outside screens are very large and clear.

The calender is probably just like your Treo.

I'd give it a try....heck, with Verizon's 30 day return policy, you can't go wrong. You should be able to get the feel for the phone with those 30 days.

Can the Voyager replace your Treo? Yes. It depends on what Treo though. PalmOS is basically dead. Palm hasn't done anything new with it since 2004.
Windows Mobile is different. The Treo overall is junk. I have owned the 600, 650, 700W and the Centro. Besides EVERY SINGLE TREO BEING THE SAME PHONE, the Treo is full of bugs. I haven't had any problems with my Voyager. My Centro would crash at least 2 times a week. The Voyager can not stream MobiTV or radio. And it does not have as many third party programs like Windows Mobile or PalmOS. So the Voyager can replace the Treo is many ways, but not all of them. I would suggest throwing your Treo in the trash and never bother with Palm again.
