This was gotten off the web elsewhere and it perm.unlocked my AT&T A117.
TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Also,in my experience,it reset the phone as well.So save off the contacts to reg. SIM 1st.
If there is a way not have Reset happen,maybe Robb knows and can reply.

To unlock a Samsung SGH-a117 Cell Phone from AT&T,folllow these directions(to the letter).....
First with different carrier SIM in phone at WRONG CARD screen ENTER on the keypad

1.--> *2767*3855# (wait 10-15 seconds) phone will reboot(restart)

2.-->When phone completes reboot ENTER
*7465625*638*00000000*00000000# (8 zeros each)

3.-->NEXT ENTER
#7465625*638*00000000# (8 zeros)

4.-->THEN *#7465625# to check the locks....all locks are inactive...these are all the locks...

All Locks are deactivated,and if I power down the phone and put other SIM in it states on welcome screen "Welcome to Cincinnati Bell" rather than AT&T. Be well! :-)

I have the Verizon Samsung SCH-U740. I was playing around in that menu, the # 000000 menu, and my phone turned off. I have my phone set to lock on startup. When i went to unlock it, the lock code was incorrect. the same one that worked five minutes before. Help! Verizon does not use SIM cards, and i have no idea what to do!

I have tried 0000 and the last four digits of my phone number.
any number i try to call it just says that i can only call the set emergency numbers, i.e. 911.

please help asap!!!

The second code for me says "Wrong password"

I fixed my phone, but still! Giving help for every other carrier is no help at all when I've said 39475983475 times that it won't help if you give me information regarding my SIM card, which is nonexistent. Thank you bunches.

I am trying to unlock a SCH-A117 that does have a sim card as it is on AT&T network.

The code I quoted above is for T series phones and will not work on the A117.

my service was ....turned off
im trying to make my phone work in any network (sugestions?)/run on wireless internet free/ sent text messiges via wireless internet

Thank you so much. i borrowed a phone from my friend and she needed it back but she took it back ass hole.My girlfriend had a phone but i thought u had to take it to a store to unlock it and pay like 50 bucks. You are a cash saver .
