I've had sprint for about 4 months now and I've been really happy with my service....the reception is great, the wap access is pretty good although for some reason when I'm at my house it's a little shotty...but when I went to iowa for a month it worked perfectly and I was in the middle of bfe iowa mind you....and I still had great wap access....I even went in to the boonies of missouri for a week and I did go on roam in a few places but you don't get charged extra for it cause of the contracts sprint has with other carriers...I've have yet to find a place where i don't have service unless i'm two stories underground....works great in the basement...the only problem i can say that I've really had with sprint is that after two months of using my Sanyo spc 8100 it had a glitch and would shut off while i was using the web....so i took it back to the store and they replaced it with out any bull**** what-so-ever....btw the sanyo rocks the pics are pretty good the features are nice and all for 100 bucks I must say that although their service is a little pricey in the end it's worth it to me because of the very few problems I've had with them....dropped call credits are easily obtained as are refunds on ringers, screen savers, and games/apps. that you download from sprint...the only thing to be careful for is downloading from sites that aren't sprint garanteed...the tech told me it was what most likely caused the glitch in my first phone....and I've heard on other message boards that it voids your warranty....hope this helps....

Sprint is decent. I get my monthly bills and phones discounted so that's cool.

I have had sprint pcs for about 3 years now and I live in a small town and my service is good and the rates are not bad either. Although customer service may be slow, they are always very courteous and friendly, oh and eager to please.

Recently ahd some charges on my phone that I did not make...Called them up and the rep quickly removed them no questions asked.

I live in a big city and even here there is bad reception at times but my biggest concern with Sprint was getting cut off in mid sentence sometimes several times in the same conversation. They might be better now (that was 2 years ago) and if you do get Sprint get a good phone not that cheapie ET lookin' phone ("...phone home") get a flip phone. Their customer service was pretty good here if I ever had a problem and it took awhile to look at it they always just gave me a new phone! I never bought a battery in five years with them. Not that it was any big deal to them ...what's a cell cost to produce less than a dollar? Coupla' bucks at most to make...? I have At&T now ...customer service is lacking but no cut offs.

Re: is sprint good?

From my experience with sprint/nextel. I had nextel for 1 year and it sucked all the way through. I got no serivce in most places. Then they offered to switch me to sprint so I said ok. That is just as bad you get service only when your in big cities. But once you get out of that area its not worth it. I highly think that you shouldn't get sprint. You should either go with At&t which is what I have or Verizon Wireless.

Re: is sprint good?

Honestly, I was with Verizon for almost 2 years and switched to Sprint because everyone I talked on the phone with were either with Sprint or Nextel. I was very happy with Verizon and the phone I had through them, but until the phone I got from an insurance claim was not happy with the service of sprint. I now have a Katana DLX and have next to no reception problems, dropped calls, or volume problems. I had cheaper phones before & nothng but problems. Bottom line if you're going to go with sprint make sure you have a more expensive phone, as with a cheaper phone you will have problems. If you decide to go with Verizon it doesn't matter as much what you go with. I had a free phone through them & had no problems.
