Anyone successfully port?

Been trying since last Monday. From Cingular to Verizon. Verizon blames
Cingular; Cingular blames Verizon. What a surprise.
Anyone had success yet?

From T-Mobile to Verizon. Last Monday at around noon, port was
complete at 8PM that day.

Re: Anyone successfully port?

Well, after a week and about 12 different CS and "Port Center" reps, they
tell me that the 4 numbers I want to port over (that the VZW store told me I
COULD port over) can NOT be ported until next May.

Just out of curiosity, are they gonna charge you for service on the new
phones while you wait for 6 months, or are you gonna take em back? Just
wondering if they would be sleazy enuf to charge you for 6 months service
while you wait..

Re: Anyone successfully port?

It is still up in the air what I am going to do. I was finally able to get
ahold of a Supervisor that not only listened to what was going on, but got
back to me in a reasonable amount of time and gave me real answers, not the
generic "I don't know, this is new". Since the store originally told me that
the numbers could be ported, he is going to check with some other people to
see if anything can be done. I already brought up the financial aspect of
staying with VZW (I would have to keep old accounts open while new numbers
are distributed). He said we can talk about that and he has the authority to
do something, but he did not want to get into specifics until all other
options were exhausted.
The store told me earlier in the day they would credit my account until this
was resolved, I don't think he was expecting a 6 month resolution though. I
highly doubt they would be willing to give me 6 months of free service. It
would be nice, but unlikely.
