No unlock code

I bought an LG VX10 on ebay to replace the same phone that I accidentally
(of course!) ran over with my car. It works perfectly but I don't have the
unlock code. The seller has been most helpful but none of the codes he gave
me try have worked.

He has offered to send me a new phone. Is there any reason I need to use
this feature? I can't recall ever using it on my last phone and I'm sure it
was still set to the default because I never used it.

Anyone?

All Zeros is the default. It use to be that a master clear would take
care of that old unlock code as well.

Re: No unlock code

My understanding is that when you do a *228 option 1 to program it sets the
unlock code to the last four digits of your phone number.

Please correct me if I am wrong...

From the tech in the Albany Store. All Zeros is the default
lock/master code. Now for your voice mail 1+the last 4 digits of your
cell number.
