LG VX6000 shutting itself off?

I have an LG VX6000 that I've had for about two weeks or so, and one annoying thing is, when I carry it around in my pocket, sometimes it will just shut itself off for no reason. It's not because of battery failure, at least not because the battery is discharged; this happens after the battery has been freshly charged too. Often, when this happens, I can't turn the phon back on unless I take the battery off the phone and put it back on (and when I do get it to turn back on, I'm back up to three, four full bars again). Anyone know why this is or how to fix it?

On a side note, is there a way to get the phone to vibrate or warn you when it is turning off due to lack of power?

id say take it to the store where you got it and theyll most likely give you a new one..because it doesnt seem like something you could hav done to it...so its most likely a manufacturers problem.

Does anyone else with this phone have this problem? I think I've seen other people on the net complain about this... is it just a problem with my phone, or a model defect?

something similar happened to my dads vx3200, it kept shuttin off and finally it didnt turn back on. he took it back to the store and they said it was a manufacturer's defect and he ended up a gettin a fresh new vx6000.

I had the problem on my 6000 also. It kept turning off. I took it to verizon, it turned out to be a defect that needed an update. I ended up getting a pre-used 6000 which worked fine. You should take it to where you purchased it and trtade for a new one.
