the i605 was planned to be realeased after the i930 but since all the problems with the i930 , the 605 will be realeased in about 2-3 months, as where the i930 maybe take double that,

When I was in the Nextel store last week looking at an i860 the guy told me to wait, because the i930 is coming out in January 2005. Ended up buying the 860 anyways and don't regret it a bit. I figure the 930's will be really expensive when they first come out, so if they're really worth it I'll wait a while and be content with my 860.

the people that work at the nextel stores are always the last to know when a phone is going to be released. good move getting the i860.

Motorola are now entering testing phase for the upgraded camera for future release camera phones.

The i205 is on sale (w/ the always there 2-year renewal requirement) for 99 cents. Not a lot of features in this one [no Java... how dare they!!!], but it will "get you by". Deal ends 1/31/2005.

Don't start counting out the pennies just yet. The ones they are selling for $.99 are refurbished phones. My parents did that deal and had nothing but problems. Three weeks later they upgraded to 730's.

Nextel is ridiculous.. The i930 was supposed to come out August then they said early January and now its supposed to be out around Valentines Day. But if anything they would try and realease it around a holiday even though a lot of people are going to rush out and pay about 600$ for it even if it wasnt a holiday.It is supposed to be a good phone it has a camera and flash and all the microsoft micro programs. Anyone know if Sprint will have it too or just Nextel selling it?

just nextel, and nextel has never mentioned the phone, people keep speculating when it is going to be released, that does not count, nextel and motorola want to make sure this thing works good before it is released after the problems they had with the i730's and all of the phones with gps for that matter. they want this phone to be rock solid from the start.

Nextel always release their phones with faults - only the i1000/i95/i60 was near to perfect.
The i90 had the keypad imprinting on screen, the i730 with it's bad reception and gps probs, i830 was gay, i860 turns off and on at times and cp probs.
i930 will prob have some glitches but i will still support it..hahaha

what is wrong with the i830 it functions fine, and the problems with the i860 are isolated overall it is a very good phone, the i730 is really their only downfall. on a hole I think they do a very good job of not releasing a phone until it is ready.
