New Moderators Wanted.

CPF is currently looking for new moderators. You must be familiar with the type of phone or service provider you wish to moderate for. You must also demonstrate that you are an active member with the community. (100 post minimum)

If you were to become a moderator your responsibilities would be to promote active discussion in your forum, keep threads on topic, and edit/delete any improper threads. You would be able to sticky, edit, and delete posts in your forum. Moderators also gain access to other staff only forums. If you're really good you may become a super moderator

We are currently looking for mods familiar with Sony Ericsson, Sanyo, Siemens, Kyocera, Danger, PalmOne, RIM, General Cell Phone Forum, Nextel, Bell Mobility, Fido, Telus, Rogers, And any European forums

A positive attitude and the ability to educate rather than intimidate are assets as well!

Moderaters should be accepting of other ways of life and understand that they have a resposibility to make a better community by accepting others.

Well i am avalible if you want me, i have got my own forum and know everything about mobiles.
I can visit CPF everyday its up to the CPF team what to do with me

Im VERY smart when it comes to phones. Even though I dont have that many posts on here i am a avid poster on howardforums. But i am working on gettingf my post count up

I moderate on a vbull car forum with 1800+ members (more and more every day), on which I have a few thousand posts.

But... I know nothing about cell phones, and I have like 4 posts.. all of which were in the car section.

Don't like me very much, do you?

I can just see everybody blasting the boards with threads to get their counts up to 100....LOL

So they can get the most coveted of title's.

This reminds me of when IRC first came out and everybody wanted the 0 title or at least the @ besides their name in the channels.

I belong to a lot of forums on cell phones, and see this everytime the Admin's/Mod's need some help.

It's not just a title people, it actually is a responsibility. A bad Admin/Mod could ruin a forum really quick.

Think a bit before actually posting for a spot:

Can you help that area of the forum?

Are you somewhat qualified to Moderate that area?

Can you be totally (for the most part) bias'd as to what people post. As long as it isn't offensive to the mass's in the forum, don't delete the post because you don't like what that person said/posted.

And, do you visit the area/forum on a daily basis to keep up with whats going on in that certain area. (Yes, it does require some commitment on your part)?

There are more as previously posted by the Admin's, and I'm sure the people here will weed out the wanna-be's to keep this place running as smoothly as it has been.

Damn, listen to me, sound like a Admin again, and I don't even want a position.

This guy is down in my good books! Knows what he's talking about! Do you see anyone on the forums ya think is worthy of a position!?

CPF believe me im on this website evryday. I am smart and trustworthy. And i'm an arcade champion! I may not post much but i will if i'm a moderator. I can also help people with the requests like midis, wallpapers, games and themes.
