New CINGULAR phones!!! - Page 2

mmmkay!!! another update, although not really a great addition to their line up, but cingular will be getting the motorola v540, which is basically the same phone as the v551 but without a camera, It is still a quad band gsm phone with bluetooth, speakerphone, edge high speed data, and also mp3 ringtones.
As far as looks, it looks identical to the v551 just without the camera, so a new mid range phone will be available, and it should be an inexpensive bluetooth phone for those who don't exactly "need" the camera, til the next update!

I was talking with a friend tonight who works for Cingular
she said in 2 weeks the Nokia "flip fon" will be coming out
I have a feeling she will be getting it as she loves Nokia and really wants a flip
I cant wait to see it

unfortunately, the nokia flip still isnt out yet, although it should have released already from both t-mobile and cingular. Dont know why there is still a delay, but i will let you know when it will be available once i find out!
Also, cingular will be picking up the LG F7200, its a slider phone with PTT and a speakerphone, no camera on this as its a simple basic phone, it does support voice ringtones (mmf files, so my site will work,

Yero, the lg c2000 is out, and even though vidguy made it sound bad i think its a nice phone and it won't burn a hole through your wallet. By the way I bought it

I didnt make it sound bad, i made it sound basic, which is what it is. Glad you're liking it though, remember everyone has there own tastes (and for some reason mine don't include LG, don't ask, just not a big fan of their GSM phones)
The LG slider they're gettin does look somewhat decent, its just that i feel like LG doesnt use all the features that are out there (ie; bluetooth, megapixel cameras, etc) I'm sure LG will make a killer GSM phone soon and i'm gonna have to eat my words on it.

Yea, I was just messin with ya. I agree with the bluetooth and stuff, I mean couldn't they spend and extra chunk of money and put some better features, but oh well great for my price range.

See theres a phone for everybody, just the one i want next costs $1000........ phones man, they just ain't what they used to be....thank god! haha!

LOL! $1000, I see that RAZR isn't top of the line enough for my man here. I think they are kinda slow with coming out with new technology for phones. For example, unless you are getting that new moto I think it is that carries an excellent camera, all of the other phones have been using about the same quality cameras forever now!

well im talkin about the nokia n90, 2mp camera and everything you can think of. Once i get that bad boy, i shouldnt be gettin a new phone for a while, although my sony ericsson v800 is on the way too, and that phone is pimp tight too! I'm crazy man, too many phones...

Yes you are Vidguy, yes your are. I still can't believe it took them this long to begin putting awesome cameras in phones. And mp3's, I mean cmon mp3 players came out years ago. Well, have fun with you new toy when ya get it.

As an unexpected move, Cingular released the motorola iTunes phone, the ROKR E1 today!!
It is a triband, candy bar style phone with 2 stereo speakers, stereo headphone compatibility, bluetooth, a vga camera (with video and flash), and microSD (transflash) memory card slot, and iTunes software built in. Other features include a speakerphone, rhythm lights, and most other features common in motorola phones.

The only thing with this phone (that i dont like) is that despite that it ships with a 512 mb memory card, the phone can only hold 100 songs, why? i dont know, but word is that the software only allows that. Hopefully a software upgrade will be available to override that, but at least you can put otehr things on the memory card (ie; videos, photos, etc) Only time will tell, til then, enjoy the ROKR E1, im gettin one, so we'll see how it goes. BTW, for those with the e398 motorola phone, the ROKR is exactly the same only difference is that it has the iTunes software, but maybe the E398 can hold more songs (if someone can confirm that it would be greatly appreciated!)

Ive been wanting to upgrade from my V3 and now I think Ive found what Im looking for.
It will be a couple weeks before I get it
I cant wait!
I like the thought of not having to take my mp3 player to workout

Well, to tell you the truth, i might not get the ROKR E1, but i might get the Motorola E398, which is the exact same phone only without the iTunes software (and its black so it kinda looks better, like the black RAZR compared to the silver one!!haha), which for me, honestly, doesnt make a difference. I don't know how the iTunes software works on the phone as far as shuffling, playlists, etc (im sure its much better than the stock software on the E398), but the fact that the software limits it to 100 songs is kind of upsetting, to me anyway.

Forgot to mention price tag before, the phone will be selling for 249.99 WITH a 2 year service agreement with cingular, not sure on upgrade phone pricing, but im sure its in the same range.
