Nextel i930: POST RELEASE

Ok guys, now thats its been released, talk about it here.

Well it's about time. I am a little disapointed that there was not a bigger splash on the website. Kinda makes you feel that Sprint is not excited about it and that this is just another phone until something bigger comes along.

Oh well, going to the store to see it today.

hi new member bought one today store had 2 and i was told i was one of the first in the state to get it, i was told that nextels warehouse was bare by 10:30am this morning so wow, i did find out that U CAN NOT transfer numbers from your old sim card to your new one, since the 930 is windows based it just cant so i have the lucky task of manually transfering my numbers..love the internet, you have to have a 20 dollar data pack to get all the good stuff on there, the camcorder is awsome as well as the camera, you have to buy your own SD card and u can only use the nextel/sprint SD card only but all i can say is i can now upload all my mp3s and play them through real player now, so far very impressed, and gotta love the new ring tones

ok question, i work for a corporate partner of nextel, so when i goto the page it shows the phone as being 258.99, but i go to upgrade my phone and with the 2 yr contract i have it at basically 400, they put it at regular price and i am confused, plus i was wondering how i could go about getting the corporate discount at the actual sprint store

i got mine for corporate, it was 258.99 then i traded in my 830 so subtract 40 from that and it took it down to 218.00

do you need to bring a paystub or anything to show them, i mean how do u get the corporate discount on it?

every store i go to says that they didnt get it in yet

i thought that you COULD transfer your numbers from ur sim card, but u just had to use a program that is on the phone called Sim Manager.

we haven't sold one yet, a lot of calls and people stopping in to see it. They don't like the size and weight of it..

Call nextel's telesales. They will fedex it over night to you. A lot of dealers are doing the fedex thing or charging extra to get it today.

u talking about that lil triangle yellow thingy? if so its a woulnt work, they tried it 5 times, it the sim card wouldnt reconize it for some reason oh well, im loving mine so far, and nextel told me when i was doing the upgrade that it went on sale at 12:01am and there warehouse was sold out at 1030am that morning, and all they need for proof of a corporate account its just an ID or something that shows u work for that company

The indirect dealers warehouse is sold out also I can't order anymore for stock.. I have 2 rolling in Monday.. Then I don't know, they removed it off the site so I can't even back order it and have no clue when they will be in... The never even communicated anything to us. I will probably hear more on it Monday.

I guess Nextel didn't order enough think the customers would wait for the i870?

i guess the dealers round my way wont get any till monday
