I ordered my phone from websales at 1030 the day it released, the 6th. I was placed in a holding fullfillment status for a day....I then called and talked to customer care which is something like having a conversation with my dog....the semi-human on the phone stated that somehow all of my information wasn't carried over....gave her the information again....and she proceded to tell me that the phone is on backorder. I have called for dates a couple times and got everything from Monday the 10th to next week....nobody knows a damn thing. I really hate this company but for work purposes I can't leave. How in the hell does a phone go on backorder the same day it is launched....it is amazing. So now I sit and wait and continue to be angry.

i have to oder mine of the web scince everystore told me they cant order any more now i hve to wait in the backorder line witheveryone else

Well, I've been trying to get Nextel to help with the Application Lock problem for 2 days now... I can't get ANY software to install on it, not from Handango... not from anywhere. Digitally signed doesn't matter... the phone just says NO. NONE of the utils out there to App. Unlock the phone work... you can't even get into the registry (also locked down) and unlock it there.

I did learn that if you're on a support call with Nextel for over 40 mins the phone system there just automatically hangs up on you... they've disconnected me 3 times now.

If you're wanting this phone... I wouldn't bother until either 1) Nextel figures it out or 2) someone hacks this thing and unlocks it for applications.

By the way everthing looks...I believe that I am gonna wait on the i870. I am however going to try to take a look at the 930 this Thursday with an open mind.

so if stores will get them by the 15th at the latest then it should be the same for the online store right

A worker from nextel said they might get some on thursday 14 but who knows? i might wait for the new blackberry looks cool

I've been waiting (impatiently) for my i930 like so many others. The fulfillment page still tells me it is backordered, but the (sometimes not so) customer service people have told me a couple of times that it may have been shipped because the system was overwhelmed. Imagine my shock when UPS just drove up. "Wow!" I thought, "They were right!" Unfortunately, it was as disappointing as the rest - it was just a package of the latest issue of the magazine that I am the senior consultant for. Oh, well, maybe when I fly back in next week it will be sitting here waiting for me.

As I typed in above stores are not getting the i930 in this month.... The email from Nextel higher ups said they deleted all of our store backorders and we must direct ship to customers (I guess so that we don't hoard them) and it is a 4 day back order.

ok so i ordered mine and was told 3-5 business days yesterday, but then i got an email saying backorder fulfillment i would like to have someone explain this junk to me and maybe tell me when would i be able to expect this product? and i also would like to know does the AIM messenger thing work on this phone or no? if not i dont want it and will be selling it as soon as i get it, oh and what the hell is AR???

the nextel store next to my house has 12 i930s in stock i seen all stacked up im trying to hold back but i may just go ahead and get one

my county has zero and said only way to get one is to go online or telesales and i had ordered 1 and i need my above questions answered

its a 4 day backorder that started when? because i orderd mine on tuesday and paid for overnight shipping

they said 4 days before it ships no matter how you choose to have it shipped. You might find stores that have them but just wont sell them to you for an upgrade. We have 2 left and refuse upgrades all day. $$$ are in new activations and not upgrades so we would rather have one for a new customer.
