Samsung 670 - phone locks via side buttons?

I was just complaining to my gf that the 670 doesnt have an easy way to
lock the phone once it's unlocked. But later that same day. I pulled
the phone from my pocket to check the time. I had on big gloves so I
couldnt tell what all buttons I was pressing, but the phone was closed
so it obviously was some combo of the the up, down, and camera buttons
on the sides. Somehow, it suddently said "Phone Locked" on the front
display. I opened it up and sure enough it was locked. What is this key
combo? TIA

Answer: One word acronym RTFM!

Geez, did anyone actually read what I said before yelling RTFM!

First off, I got the phone off ebay, so I didn't have a manual. After
these responses, I went and downloaded it

Page 101 does talk all about locking the phone, but tells how to do so
via the on-screen menu, which I already know.

I had said I managed to lock the phone with the clam shell *closed*...
using only the side buttons (the up/down soft keys, and/or the camera
button). The manual, or at least the one at the URL above, doesn't
mention this anywhere. I searched it for every instant of the word
lock.

So my original question stands.

FWIW, after you first posted, I went to Samsung's site and checked the
online manual there. You are correct. It doesn't say anything else
other than via the menus. So, your question does still stand.

I guess you might have to play around with the buttons to find the
combo, or just leave your gloves on when using your phone.;-)
