when i connect the data cable into phone, my phone just off by it self.

i bought a data cable from ebay. for e635

when i just connect the data cable to my phone my phone just

turn off by it self, just black screen.

does it supposes to be do tat by it self?

and on the data cable theres label, it says, "For SAM V205"

and i download Samsung PC Studio II PIMS & File Manager.

it keep says offline.

did i buy the wrong data cable?

thats the ebay seller that i bought my data cable.

V205 cable is not compatible to E635. The models that mentioned in eBay X497 X495 X475 E635 T309 actually refers to 3 different cables

V205 and X475 are compatible and belongs to one type of cable
E635, X495 and X497 are compatible and belongs to another type of cable
T309 need another different cable then the above two.

You should ask the seller for a replacement for the correct cable.

I had the same thing happen to me only mine was bought on eBay from eForcity and it was Model SAM X426. I had downloaded the SAMSUNG PC Studio PIM and File Manager v1.0 and the supplied USB driver (changing the USB to COM4). When I plugged the phone into the cable the phone totally shut down and required removal/restoration of the battery to re-boot it on. I called their tech line and they confirmed I had the right cable and to send it back for an exchange. Seems like a good company to work for as the postage will probably be greater than what I paid.

I'll let you know what happens.
