LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 1, 2006--Alltel
Wireless, America's largest network, today announced the details of
its new 'My Own Game' promotion to be launched at 12 of its partner
universities. Starting with the University of Florida, Alltel Wireless
began accepting essays of 50 words or less from students themed 'Why I
Deserve My Own Game.' Ten finalists will be selected at each school
for a chance to win the grand prize - a Samsung 42" DLP HDTV, a
Samsung MP3 player, a college football game named in their honor and
tickets to that game for the winner and the winner's "Circle" of 10
friends.

Student finalists must then compete to have the biggest "Circle"
by rallying friends, family and classmates to cast text message and
online votes in their favor. Alltel will provide finalists with
campaign tools including a Schwinn mountain bike, the new Samsung u420
phone and their own web page on the contest website. The finalist from
each participating university who earns the most votes throughout the
entry period will win that school's grand prize.

Alltel Customers can vote for their favorite student by text
messaging the candidate's unique key word to 123456. Alternatively,
members of the candidates' "Circles" may complete an online ballot at
alltelvote.com. Any participant that casts a vote for any student
finalist at any university will be automatically entered into a
separate drawing for great prizes from Samsung including a 42" DLP
HDTV, DVD camcorder and 1GB MP3 players.
