HTC Touch, PPC, Blackberry and Treo?

My girlfriend recently switched to Alltel from Sprint and is completely in love with it (We are in Richmond, VA ((Central VA)). So I have been thinking about switching to Alltel myself, however I wanted to get some opinions first. I don't really have a real "need" for having a phone such as the Touch, PPC, Blackberry or TREO, but more so the desire for one. What would those of you who have one of them suggest as far as a decision on which would be a good fit? I would love to use it to incorporate my e-mails and set up appointments and all. I would also like to use it as far as playing music or videos (If possible). So basically, any suggestions? Such as the versatility, ease of use, etc.?
