Advice on a new phone?

Okay, so I'm looking at getting my 6th phone on Monday. Here's how it works:

-My first phone was one of those cheap black and silver motorolas. 3 something model. It was my first phone, but meh, pretty sucky.
-Second phone was an moto e815 i got off eBay. Great phone, lots of good features, but kinda bulky. Scrapped that one when I started a new plan.
-Third phone was a Razr v3m. Probably my favorite phone I've had, took that one for a swim in the lake.
-Fourth phone was the LG ax8600 that insurance subbed in for the razr. I was disappointed. Nice phone that does everything I want, but I just don't care for how LG's software works versus motorola, probably because I usually have a moto. Got a new one when I cracked the front screen by rolling onto it in bed.
-Fifth phone was another ax8600 from insurance, which my mom washed today when I was over helping the parents install their new dishwasher.

Okay, so my parents offered to buy a new phone, but ego woudln't let me say yes, so I settled for them covering half. My dad being the business type said they'd pay up to $140, half the cost of replacing the 8600 which retails at 280. I'm still under contract so I'll have to buy the new phone outright.

So here's what I look for in a phone:
-Great for texting. I love to text. I don't necessarily require a qwerty keyboard, but it might be nice, I've never had one. Otherwise I'm pretty used to the multi-tap style of texting. But I want something with either good sized buttons or set out buttons. The razr had large buttons, and the e815 had buttons that each had a bubble so there wasn't a lot of mispressed buttons. I liked that.
-Fairly rugged. I'm not necessarily looking for one of those shock proof rubber coated ones, but I do carry it everywhere I go, so I don't want one that is gonna fall apart. I also use it a lot. I work at OfficeMax so its not like it gets beat around a lot, but you know what I mean. I'm not too violent with my phone, I don't throw it around or anything, but I want it to be able to withstand a reasonable amount of wear and tear.
-Good looks. I like sleek designs. the moto R* line appeals to me visually. I don't care for flashy colours like lime green or whatnot. Silver, red, blue, black, etc.
-Flip or slider. I don't care for bricks.
-Connectivity. Either a USB charge port or micro sd slot. One of those two. I don't have a digicam for some reason so I use my phone, which leads to
-Decent camera. 1.3mp at least. I think they probably all have that by now.
-Something that holds a charge. My LG needs to be charged EVERY DAY and it drives me crazy. It doesn't bother me as much now because I just plug it in at night by instinct, but I want something with a decent talk time. I don't talk on the phone a lot, but when I do there's a good chance it'll be for 1 hour or more. I don't want to have to be tethered to the wall charging during that time.
-Decent audio. This isn't a huge deal, but I do like something that'll play the ringtones I make fairly well.

So thats where we're at. Does any one or two phones fall into that category? I'd like to not spend over $300, but that shouldn't be a problem since I'm not looking for a smartphone or anything, just a regular cdma phone, but a good one. =)

Thanks for any help!

Cell Phone and Cell Phone Plans - Alltel Wireless That would be my best offer.

The HTC phone that looks like the Att tilt is pretty cool too.

Re: Advice on a new phone?

although some new phones look cool and all, I still really like my v3m. recently put an 815 on my work account and like that too...in some ways more than the razr but it is bulky. and the only thing I can think of in yur price range that I would by (considering we have similar tastes ) would be a krazr or rokr. But if those buttons are to small and you cant swing a razr2 i'd just get another v3m somewhere. if you arent completely opposed to LG the glimmer looked really cool and has a 2mp camera.

Re: Advice on a new phone?

I'm personally fond of the Moto Rokr. I text with mine all them time and haven't had any troubles with it. The buttons might seem a bit small depending on the size of your fingers. It also seems to be a touch little phone. I've put a few scratches and nicks on my phone, but only because I dropped it on the street getting outta my Jeep. The phone still works fine. It's a slider phone with a usb charge connector and it also has a micro sd slot capable of supporting up to two gigs. It also has a 2.0mp camera and the quality seems to be really good. I haven't noticed any problems with my pictures. Battery life is good. Been able to hold conversations for a couple of hours or so without having to put it on the charger. The audio quality is great in my opinion for a phone. I listen to music on mine and the sound it great. Probably the best phone I've ever had. Anyway, hope this helps. Have a good one.
