Hey. I'm thinking about buying a Blackberry Pearl 8130 with Alltel. I know they have smartplans that work with blackberrys. My question is do I have to get a smartphone plan if I get a Blackberry? Can I just keep my same plan and use the Axcess internet w/ alltel. Or do I have to get all the Blackberry internet services? Anybody got any answers? Thanks. | ||||||

It appears from Alltel's Web site that all plans you can select with a BlackBerry include a data plan. This is likely NOT the Axcess plan. All BlackBerrys are either activated with BIS (personal) or BES (corporate) data plans. I assume Alltel is no different. | ||||||
