    I know that Verizon Wireless has bought out Alltel. I am currently on my mom's Alltel Plan, but I need to upgrade my phone. I found one on Verizon Wireless that I really like. I was just wondering, if I bought it would it work or not? Do I have to change my plan or something?

    is that a fact? i have been told that after the merger is complete and verizon takes over the billing that i would be able to use my verizon phone.

    Does verizon do SIM cards? I have never seen an alltel phone use a SIM card.

    why can't verizon wireless have the same or more comparable plans to Alltell the new 45.00 unlimited talk and text for 1 line or 85.00 for 2?
