The i607 was known for its poor battery life.
The i617 (BlackJack II) is improved, I think.
Was your Bluetooth always on?
Some suggested tips to improve standby time:
Turn Bluetooth off.
Lock
3G or
EDGE; don't let the phone auto-switch between them.
Turn on wireless data(?) only when needed.
Does the BlackJack II cause noises (when first turned on or
trasmitting) on unshielded speakers (e.g. Car/Computer Speakers)?
When a co-worker here turns on her AT&T wireless phone in the next
cubicle, my computer speakers make morse-code/crackling type noises

Will the BlackJack II do the same?
