Six of one, half-dozen of the other, I guess... I use a 2GB Micro SD in my
WinMo phone, and never swap it out (other than stick it in a reader to
transfer files.)
If my Tilt had 8GB or 16GB on board, I probably wouldn't bother with
external storage.
Obviously large internal storage PLUS an external slot would be the best of
both worlds, but of the iPhone's solution (large internal memory, no
external) or the solution of typical phones (little intenal memory,
external slot), neither has a clear advantage, IMO- both fall short of the
ideal.

Had too many activations; system couldnt keep up at first; same thing
happened last year. Many stores are sold out already.

ATT will still be here in its current form a year from now, Sprint
won't be.

A brain dead iPhone | iTunes user can easily convert DIVIX to the
iPhone with the free Vidoria application and one or two clicks. I do
it all the time. I have regular DVDs and such as well as downloaded
DIVX converted for my iPhone.
New DVDs come with an iPhone file already on them. You still don't get
that type of support for Nokia or other wannabe touch cellphones. The
left coast supports media for the iPhone only.

Why? It's the truth.

THe translation is more along the lines of: I wouldn't be caught dead with
a teenagers iPod as my phone.

Or, why buy a new phone (and contract) when you already have a phone
that does what you need!
If you have a good reason to buy a new phone, the iPhone MAY be just
what you need. OTOH, even if you need a new phone, the iPhone MAY be a
poor choice for your needs.

This may be the best point made yet.

Spending so much time and energy whining about a product you despise?
The transparency of the trolls jealousy is pretty obvious. A bit crazy,
but truly real. For what other reason would you care about what
smartphone/PDA we choose to use anyways?

if soldering is a little too advanced or you, you can always use butt
crimp connectors.

but since the battery in the iPhone 2 is even easier to replace, you
wouldn't need them in 4 years or whenever the battery in the iPhone 1.0
starts to fade.

What kind of support do I need? I might be missing something!
I download the movies from alt.binaries.movies.divx......
I compress them further with the media converter JAVA the hackers wrote so
it doesn't use so much memory on the little cards.......
I copy the output 343KB files to the 16GB card
I swap with the external card then play with mplayer full screen....
What kind of support do I need to do such simple things??
Do I need a nanny watching over my shoulder, too?

And your point is....?
You're crowing about AT&T now, but back when you started with them, you were
whining.
