Because Chrome relies on Apple's open-source WebKit software for
rendering Web pages, it can run any application that runs on Apple's
    Safari Web browser, Pichai said.

"If you are a webmaster, and your site works in Apple Safari then it
will work very well in Google Chrome," he said.

    ....

This is another reason to tweak your website for iPhone, Safari and
    now Google Chrome optimization.

Google Chrome is a neat product with some features not found in any
other browser. In some ways it acts like a new fast OS on top of
windows. I am having a ball discovering all the hidden features of
    Google Chrome.

Hell, any basic browser with no plugins can do that!

Thanks for the heads up, though. I installed Chrome on the WinXP Pro box.
Sure is fast but a little simplistic for my tastes. When I click options,
I want to see Firefox3 options, not webtv.

I'll run it a while and see what croaks it. I booted some very complex
webpages on the big box and it worked fine and very fast.

I've been playing with it all night. No extension problems and it appears
to be much more nimble than IE

I don't understand the connection to Safari, though. It runs Flash's
latest version, JAVA, AJAX, everything I threw at it.

I'm not running it with Safari. I downloaded the standalone and I can't
    find anything it won't render.

Google Chrome really is a new way of browsing.

I thought Google Reader sucked compared to other ways off accessing
RSS feeds until I started playing with Chrome. It is that all the old
browsers all suck at displaying Google Reader. Try opening pages in
your favorite browser and then copy the same URL and drop it in
    Chrome. BIG DIFFERENCE in SPEED.

Use Google Gears to cache pages for viewing off-line like stand alone
RSS readers that offer that feature.

One nice feature that is missing is a way to zoom in on a graphic
image like you can in the other browsers. Also there is no print
preview or an easy way to send a link from any web page. You can send
links from GReader which is nice.
