Older Cingular SIM in a 3G RAZR2 ?

I have a RAZ2 that I never use anymore and I want to give it to my friend
who has a Cingular branded RAZR on ATT service. My 3G sim works fine in my
non 3G Nokia N82 and I don't really miss the 3G service. I need to know if
the older, non 3G sim will work in the 3G RAZR2. Any advice? TIA

It should, the one I had in my LG C1300 works fine in my v3xx. I
don't use any of the email/internet/3g stuff.
