You mean Bluetooth paired? Hell, it won't even pair with a stereo A2DP
headset, how in hell is it going to tether some medical miracle?

I thought tethering was taboo!

Tell us more about this miracle of tethering mere mortals are not allowed
to do!

Link, man, the LINK!

but that's because stereo bluetooth sucks for battery life, it has
nothing to do with the iphone.

Isn't it a bit odd that my Motorola ROKR Z6m paired with my Motorola S9
both as a handsfree and a really loud stereo headphones will run over 8
hours and still make phone calls on the headset? I prefer listening to
music on the phone because it doesn't take CPU time up on the N800
tablet.

That phone will put music on the stereo S9 longer than you can stand to
wear it, even riding down the highway. The music is on the 2GB microSD,
but I can connect via FTP to change the music over the BT link to the
twin 16GB cards in the tablet if I want a change.

I don't think BT sucks quite as bad as you say for stereo. I charge my
devices every night while I sleep which makes Li-Ion and Li-polymer
batteries last lots longer. But, the only thing that makes the phone
run out of power very quickly is streaming video from Alltel to the
Tablet over BT Dun, a very heavy BT load to be sure.....(c;

All the vehicles have a pair of cords and spare battery chargers in them
and both devices have spare batteries I don't have to wait to charge for
heavy use.

it's about providing a well performing product. that's all. a honda
accord can pull a 30 foot boat, but it doesn't mean it's best for the
driver. these conservative design tradeoffs are what make apple products
so popular.

but only after a lot of uneducated demand to do so, battery life on the
iPhone will improve quite a bit on Friday, so hang on tight.

Ok, so you're saying Apple will withhold features customers _think_ they
want, in order to build a better device...

....unless enough people want it that withholding it might impact sales,
then the "build a better product" design philosophy is chucked in the
bin... Did I interpret that correctly?

Um, I thought you already told us there were no issues with battery life,
Oxy...
