Even if true, Blackberry has a huge advantage in corporate acceptance.

yet despite any advantage, rim's market share has remained flat and
apple's has grown dramatically.

Yet another vague and unsubstantiated claim. Since Apple is coming up
from zero, it's not hard to grow "dramatically" (whatever that means).

exactly the point. 18 months ago, apple had no cellphone market share
and now they have one of the top selling smartphones with a very high
customer satisfaction rate. that alone is impressive.
>>>One in three Storm owners (33 percent) recently said they were Very Satisfiedwith the product while 77 percent of Apple iPhone users said they were satisfied
Maybe just an oversight, but probably fanboy logic comparing "Very
Satisifed" for the Storm vs. "satisifed" for the iPhone. In most
surveys these are two distinct answers. What's the percentage of Storm
users who were "satisfied".

Maybe, maybe not.
I just noticed via Digg that in Finland there is a company that just
bout 700+ iPhones to use in the enterprise.
They have some kind of new Finish iPhone software that was just
written for business.
The iPhone is a global phone even moving into the Arabic speaking
areas of the world this week.
Does the BB have a total global reach? Isn't it blocked in some
countries?

For a creature that hangs out all over USENET...
I posted a link
follow it!
I think the answer was even in my original post less that a third of
BB Storm users were happy with their BB. If you fall in that third -
fine.
It is typical of most smartphones sold in the last five years.

Why the mis-comparison? One is a business tool, the other is a toy.
Different markets and levels of support.

That's what they do. Pick out stories that make the product look better.

More KoolKats prefer KoolAid to warm office party holiday eggnog.

Who cares? Besides the vendors?
I don't buy things because they are popular or "the in thing". I buy
the cheapest product that meets all my needs.

An excellent point, one which I was going to try to make but you said it
better. You have to take a look at the makeup of the people surveyed to
really place these figures in meaningful perspective. I'm sure the iPhone
is very appealing to teenagers and the average Joe looking for a cute toy as
an iPod and text messager. If you want to sell a LOT of something, just
target teenagers and people with simplistic needs. Just ask Howard Stern,
the radio DJ.
I have a Touch and think it's wonderful and gimmicky. But my Storm gets all
the real use. I love mine and am glad it came around.
