What the **** "references"? My post was first-hand information from an
N800 owner who's operated N800 in hot cars for years.
The temperature specs come from the Nokia website and you can also find
them on all the spec sheets on all the N800 evaluation sites. Do I have to
hold your hand to Engadget or Nokia?

Hell, that's easy! The "other similar devices" don't have class action
lawsuits from angry customers against them for overheating!

Really? They do, do they? Because I checked Nokia's website and couldn't
find them. Would you mind?

Apple fanboiz MUST be defensive. It's a requirement of being an Apple
fanboi that no matter what the company does or screws up, the fanboi legion
MUST defend the company with rationalizations and deflections even with
their lives! It reminds one of the Jews defending Holocaust or Christians
defending the Bible. It's more of a religious phenomenon, like these.
I have this hilarious picture of legions of Toyota fanboiz standing arm-in-
arm in front of the Toyota dealers with grim looks on their faces defending
Toyota with their very lives against the recent spate of product
recalls....(c;]
How does Jobs get the company devotion to the level of a religion, no
matter what? What a great psychological study for the marketing students
at a major university to study! They could sell it to BP!

That's not actual evidence of the iPad behaving differently, Larry. That
is evidence of *people* behaving differently.

Yup. You can't believe an allegation of wrong doing is a "sorry
commentary" on someone's character unless you believe in the allegation.

All those prove is that a lawyer saw an opportunity to get a settlement.
It is evidence of *human* behavior, not iPad behaviour.

How much are you being paid to malign it? Because whoever is doing it
should get a refund. Referencing the same lawsuit over and over doesn't
make it any more evidence of an actual problem.

links for lawsuits snipped.
where are the thermal tests? how hot does it get? at what temperature
is the warning given? what *is* it's real world operating temperature
limits?
oh right, you don't have any *actual* evidence, just more idiocy.

Merely par for the course when Navas has had his ass handed to

The simplest of bottom lines is that if John really did have no
opinion and no dog in the hunt, he would have never posted any comment

A "...dSLR makes for a better photographer"? I don't ever recall
ever making such a claim.
(Google: 'Your search - dSLR "better photographer" - did not match
any documents.')
It certainly would be interesting for Navas to ever be able to find a
citation where I said such a thing. I have, however, dared to say
that sometimes one's equipment can make a significant difference.
Here's an example that Navas chose to never comment on:
Using one camera's small built-in strobe:

Using another with a hot shoe, external strobe and beamer:

Goody, although this is something like the 3rd or 4th time. Ironic
how Navas then whines about other peoples' products being broken and
inferior <g>.

Re: NEWS: Apple sued over hot iPad shutdowns
Bottom Line, Apple is being sued again for a faulty product that
routinely overheats during normal usage.
Apple will continue to get sued until they learn to make products that
work.
