I've had a problem w/ Cingular's online account management system
since the day I signed up (about 6 weeks now). I can register over and
over again (as the customer service folks always ask me to do when I
call to ask when they are going to fix the problem), but I can never
actually log in. I always just get an error indicating that the
"System is experiencing a problem with the customer profile database."

They've opened at least 4 trouble tickets about the issue, but it
hasn't changed the situation one bit. Sometimes the "technical group"
that has received the ticket claims that customer service can fix the
    problem, but they can't.

Nobody there seems to have the first clue about the actual inner
workings of the simplest of processing in their online account
management system - the act of logging on. You'd think there'd be some
group that could trace things to see where the problem is occurring,
but not one person there has even apparently ever heard of the error
    I'm getting.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

    This is just painfully frustrating.

Is yours a "company" account, with a federal ID number instead of a Social
Security number? I had some problems with that, but just had to go to their
office and let someone check my ID to be sure I was who I said I was. They
set up my registration there, and it has be fine since.
