Yes, because on some groups like howard forums this info is censored. This
is stupid and does not stop me to find how to unlock my M55 the easy and
free way.

Well, more power to ya! Forums can have whatever rules they want and
of course you are free to go wherever they'll let you in. I don't
see that there's a problem.

Just because you can't get the information in any forum you go to
doesn't mean that you can't use your resources and find somewhere that
you can!

I moderate some forums and I have some anal retentive rules, but so
what! It's my forum and I can do pretty much as I want. I'm the
boss. If you're upset with a forum start your own and you can make it
wide open that anything goes if you like and let people flame each
other up and down nine ways to Sunday if that makes you happy.

And just why is this so "sad?" His forum has paid subscribers whose
business is unlocking. It's his forum and he can make any rules or

Because, in my opinion, censorship, in ANY form is BAD. You're right, he
can do whatever he wants, however I will never be visiting his forums again.

It's a lot more time consuming to locate sites of this nature. Yes, it's
your forum and you can do what you want. With that kind of attitude people
will just stop coming once they become more educated, knowledgeable or if
they have other boards to go to. Then your forum will slowly but surely
have less and less traffic and then one day, die. Sooner or later, it WILL
happen. This is called: competition.

That's interesting. I started a forum way back in 2001 and I've got
lots of people who put up with me and don't mind that I do have my
anal retentive moments.

Hey, if you don't like the way I do things there's nothing stopping
you from finding somewhere else that better meets your needs. It's
not really a concern whether you like me or my forum. If you find
something that's of use to you fine and dandy. If you don't find it
at my place there are lots of other places around that may better fit
your need. What works for someone doesn't necessarily work for
someone else. Which format works for you might not necessarily work
for me. I like web boards and you may like usenet groups. What works
for me may not work for you. Great! We'll all find what we need.

Maybe but It should be clear in the beginning : this is not a free
discussion forum but instead a sponsorised advertising bord and not accept
any discussion their sponsor don't want. I call this censorship, that's
all. If you go to Nokia site they won't let you bash Nokia products but on
a public forum you supposed to be free to talk of everyting if it's not
racist or illegal.
