We spilled something on our Nokia 6340i and it quit working. Cingular
wants us to pay $120 for a new phone. Do we have any other options? Is
it possible to buy reconditioned phones or repair this? Thanks.

I just received my 6340i from an e-bay auction for $44.00 plus shipping. you
should be able to switch the sim card over to the new phone and be right
back in business. (shipping time can get old though. it took two weeks to
get.

I too purchased a used 6340i via eBay, and used it to
replace a 6340. The GSM side will work immeadiately
after a SIM switch. You will need to call Cingular
to have the ESN updated in your account records,
so that the TDMA side will work. They'll be glad
to take the IMEI as well.
