When I renewed my plan recently I was told I had to upgrade to new GSM
phones.(I have 4). These new phones do not work nearly as well as the old
phones. Connections lost etc. Can't connect in locations that worked well
with the old phones. I'm in the St Louis, MO area. I have been back to the
store several times (They are useless) and have complained to Customer
Service (equally as useless). Can these phones be tweaked? Would a
different phone help? Any advice?

Re: LG4010
I had the same problem. Also my phone had an inherent manufacturer defect. So
when they told me they would do nothing. I cancelled my contract and went to
Verizon.

Re: LG4010
I have the G4050, which is similar to the 4010. I'm also experiencing poor
reception (in the St. Louis area) and other problems with the phone. My son
has a Samsung phone and gets twice the reception (based on the bars on the
phone) standing right next to me. I believe LG just doesn't make a very
good phone. On the bright side, they will trade phones with you if you
contract is less that 30 days old.
