Hello,
I have Cingular's prepaid KIC plan, and I need some help with
accessing my voicemail. It probably is the same for all Cingular
customers -- prepaid or not -- so any help/tips would be appreciated.
In the brochure it says I can call my wireless number from a landline
phone to access my voicemail. I follow the directions:
- Call number
- Press # during greeting
- Enter passcode
I do that, but the only thing it does is sends me a page. Am I doing
something wrong?
Thanks.

Re: Cingular Voicemail Help
Try pressing "9" when you hear the greeting.

Re: Cingular Voicemail Help
What area of the country (what market) are you in? Voice mail set up
varies by market.
You should be able to press and hold the 1 key, then enter your temp
passcode and then set up voice mail, assuming that the one touch setting
is programmed correctly
If setting up by calling your wireless number (from either the cell or
from a landline) you will interrupt the recording w/ either a #, 9, or *
depending on the market.

In our market (Dallas/FtWorth) with Cingular you press * and then when
prompted, enter the passcode.
With AT&T Wireless it's a # followed by the passcode.
