Would it be a bad idea to get a V600 for use on the Cingular network. It
supports the same frequencies, so I didn't forsee a problem, but I
    thought I had better ask.

I thought I read somewhere that the Moto V600 cell phone was only going to
    be offered by AT&T Wireless.

    But I could be wrong...

I wasn't planning on buying it from Cingular. I mean if I purchase one,
nevermind how or where I get it, will it work fine for me on the
Cingular network with my existing Cingular SIM card?

According to what I read in this forum, if you get it unlocked, it should
work on any GSM system in the USA.

    But I could be wrong.

Suppose some bugs are detected in its firmware. Cingular will not be able to
provide you with updates if its not a phone they sell and support.

Good point. That's exactly the kind of answer I was looking for. Plus,
I'm sure I can get it cheaper even paying full retail through cingular
than I can get it right now. Save me some cash.

    perfectly. no bugs, no nothing.
